Blairstown Township Police conducted a thorough search of the interior and exterior school grounds of North Warren Regional High School as the lockdown was initiated around 10:20 a.m., the department said.
No active threat to students, faculty or the facility was found during the search, police said.
The department extended additional thanks to state police, the Warren County Prosecutor’s Office, Blairstown Ambulance Corps, Blairstown Hose Company #1 and other responding agencies, as well as to parents for their “patience during a very stressful situation” and students who “did an excellent job.”
“More information will be available in the future but we can assure you there is no active threat or safety concern at the school,” police said.
